Issa Fofana

Issa Fofana is a lecturer and researcher at the University of Social Sciences and Management of Bamako (USSGB) and Co-Director of Point Sud, a research centre on local knowledge. He holds a PhD in Geography, specialising in urban spaces and societies, as well as an advanced degree in social work. His research focuses primarily on urbanisation dynamics, urban mobility, security, and the integration of agricultural markets through digital technologies. He is the author of several scientific publications, with particular interests in transformations in urban mobility, urban insecurity, and local strategies for building sustainable peace.
